Michael G. Rosenberg
Chair, Board of Trustees
My mother lived with ovarian cancer for almost ten years thanks to her oncologist, Dr. Franco M. Muggia. It could have been a death sentence. Instead, we had almost 10 more birthdays and holidays together. And she had time to see a future – one with children and grandchildren, challenges, and laughter. She had life. It was through Franco that I became involved with The Chemotherapy+ Foundation.
I was impressed by their brilliant researchers and the potentially life-saving studies that were being done. I had to be part of the solution to make sure that families saw their loved ones live long and healthy lives even after a cancer diagnosis.
Someone once said – and I think it’s true – that we’re sort of magical. Our grants can happen quickly and provide support where funding is most needed. The research can take years. But we move quickly to provide early support to promising researchers. Over the years, The Chemotherapy+ Foundation has seen many of its studies grow into clinical trials with some very promising results.
My goal as Chair of the Board of Trustees is to take this amazing organization to the next level. At the Foundation, we are all partners in making this happen. We share the same vision of a cancer-free future. We believe it is achievable.
I want more people to learn about what we’ve done and what we’re working on now. And I hope that they join us in this fight against cancer. So much more is possible.
